The monthly field-note template

Make the work
inspectable.

Use this structure to publish a monthly AI workflow teardown or a verified case study. It turns practical work into a useful reference for the people who need to understand the decision—not a vague success story.

Evidence gate

Useful detail.
Real evidence.

  • Identify the business problem before naming a tool.
  • Name human ownership and the control point.
  • Use only approved, attributable case-study outcomes.
  • Publish no client logo, quote, or media mention without permission.

The teardown structure

One reliable
monthly rhythm.

01

The short answer

State the workflow problem, what changed, and the intended business value in two to four direct sentences.

02

The situation

Describe the real operating context: role, audience, current hand-off, and why the existing process was difficult.

03

The bottleneck

Name the concrete failure point—lost context, slow follow-up, unclear ownership, inconsistent quality, or weak lead progression.

04

The operating design

Map each stage, the human owner, the AI or automation role, and the quality / consent check.

05

What changed

Use only attributable, evidence-supported results. If an outcome is still being observed, say that clearly.

06

What stays human

Name the approval, judgment, relationship, or risk-control step that remains human-led.

The operating map

Show the hand-off.
Not just the tool.

Use this table in each teardown so readers can see where a person owns the work, where automation assists, and where quality is checked.
